GOLDBECK SOLAR celebrates the inauguration of the 70.9 MWp Agethorst solar park with greentech

GOLDBECK SOLAR technically commissioned the 70.9 MWp Agethorst solar park at the end of May. On June 6, greentech hosted the inauguration ceremony on-site attended by landowners, political representatives, and many partner companies.

The Agethorst solar park covers an area of 80 hectares and has an installed capacity of 70.9 MWp. The project will generate around 75,600 MWh of clean energy per year. The green electricity produced will supply around 18,000 households annually, saving approximately 30,000 tons of CO2. The solar energy generated will be fed into the grid of Schleswig-Holstein Netz AG via an almost 6 km long route.

Technological innovation and rapid implementation

The Agethorst solar park relies on state-of-the-art TOPCon technology with a total of 123,500 solar modules, which were installed in just eight months. The system is supplemented by 16 transformer stations, which ensure reliable feed-in of the electricity generated. The predominantly wet weather conditions during the construction phase in the winter months up to April with very high groundwater levels posed a particular challenge for the installation. The fast and efficient realization of this demanding large-scale project underlines the efficiency and commitment of GOLDBECK SOLAR and greentech.

“A significant step towards a sustainable energy supply”

“We are very happy to be making this important contribution to the energy transition in Schleswig-Holstein together with greentech. The Agethorst solar park is an impressive example of how we can create a greener future together,“ emphasized Michiel Vanhoutte, COO of GOLDBECK SOLAR. “The successful commissioning of this project demonstrates the importance of strong partnerships and innovative technologies for large photovoltaic systems. We are proud of the cooperation with greentech and look forward to future joint projects.”
