Ecologically upgraded photovoltaic systems
A solar power plant is an essential component of clean energy production and CO2-Reduction. It makes an important contribution to environmental protection and the energy transition. But we want to do more for our planet. That is why, together with our partners from Rifcon, we are focusing on the ecological enhancement of the plant. With Ecovoltaics, the solar plant also promotes biodiversity. The Photovoltaic becomes a biotope link in the local ecosystem. Implement some simple but smart measures, you efficiently increase the level of environmental protection. Learn which solar farm improvements protect endangered species, support the development of local species, and thus help stabilize the ecosystem.
Ecovoltaics, the method for the ecological upgrading of a photovoltaic system, was developed in cooperation with our partner Rifcon.
Rifcon specializes in the global protection of biodiversity. The measures taken to improve biodiversity are scientifically monitored and their impact is measured.
The best time to start the environmental impact assessment is during the site selection process for the construction of the solar plant. According to the construction regulations for solar power plants in Germany, compensatory measures must be defined as soon as a natural area is affected. Such measures can be, for example, planting hedges or creating new habitats.
Early site analysis creates the best conditions for the success of Ecovoltaics measures. However, it is also possible to increase the quality of biodiversity and environmental protection in already-built plants.
A solar power plant produces clean energy, reduces CO2-emissions, and represents a path to independent energy production. In addition, a photovoltaic plant optimized for biodiversity is an important bio-topic link in the local ecosystem.
