GOLDBECK SOLAR Receives the 2026 smarter E Award for Its Innovative Approach to Solar Park Construction
Hirschberg an der Bergstraße, June 22, 2026 – GOLDBECK SOLAR’s innovative solution HeliomatiX has been honored with the smarter E Award 2026 in the Photovoltaics category. The jury recognizes an approach that fundamentally reorganizes the construction of large-scale photovoltaic plants.
HeliomatiX focuses not on a single product, but on a restructured construction process: Recurring work steps are spatially consolidated, technically prepared, and then implemented automatically. This shifts much of the complexity from the field to controlled, predictable processes.
Specifically, this means: modules and parts of the substructure are pre-assembled into standardized units. These are then transported automatically to their installation site, where the installation is carried out automatically with high precision. Installation quality remains consistently high, and on-site operations see a reduction in both the need for on-site labor and dependence on weather-related factors.
The solution responds to structural developments in the industry. Larger module generations, tight schedules, and limited personnel capacities require new approaches that go beyond traditional construction processes. HeliomatiX simplifies processes through consistent standardization and, by automating individual steps, increases efficiency, safety, and scalability in the construction of large-scale photovoltaic systems.
“For us, the award is above all a sign that the construction of PV plants is undergoing a transformation,” says Ralf Steinheiser, Head of Innovation & Technology at GOLDBECK SOLAR. “With HeliomatiX, we are demonstrating how processes can be designed to be both more robust and more scalable.”
The smarter E Award is presented annually by an independent jury as part of The smarter E Europe and is one of the most prestigious industry awards in the renewable energy sector.
