GOLDBECK SOLAR celebrates its premiere as an exhibitor at MeLa

At the MeLa trade fair, the solar expert will show how farmers and land operators can create synergies and generate double yields with Agri-PV

Efficient land use and the responsible use of energy and food security are becoming increasingly important. These are topics that will also be in focus at the MeLa trade fair from September 12 to 15, 2024. GOLDBECK SOLAR will be exhibiting for the first time this year – with innovative Agri-PV concepts that get to the heart of the agricultural challenges.

Optimizing agriculture and harvesting solar energy on the land: This is the common denominator that visitors to the MeLa trade fair and GOLDBECK SOLAR will find. Practice-oriented Agri-PV solutions generate clean electricity and also create valuable synergy effects that directly benefit the cultivated area.

Versatile, efficient land use for land owners and farmers

As a renowned trade fair for agriculture, food and rural perspectives, MeLa attracts a broad industry audience as well as agricultural experts from politics and business to Güstrow every year. With the efficient use of land – simultaneous cultivation with food production and solar energy generation – GOLDBECK’s Agri-PV expertise brings strong perspectives to the trade fair environment. The experienced specialists focus in particular on practice-oriented and large-scale scalable solutions that go beyond individual projects and thus achieve maximum efficiency. For landowners and land managers, the combination of agricultural and solar energy use results in great added value: within the framework of Agri-PV, the land equipped with PV is used twice. The movable trackers with a hub height of approx. 2.80 m are arranged in such a way that they receive sufficient sunlight for plant growth and the fields can be cultivated. To this end, GOLDBECK SOLAR works closely with the farmer to develop an agricultural utilization concept that aims to optimize crop yields, taking into account various aspects such as the row spacing of the systems. Agri-PV has a whole range of positive effects, such as reduced water requirements, heat protection for plants and a diversification of income sources for farmers.

Energy and plants under one roof at MeLa

GOLDBECK SOLAR relies on various Agri-PV solutions for its solar projects. The use of tracker elements has proved particularly successful, as they achieve a maximally fertile “sun harvest” thanks to movable modules. Plants are provided with sufficient space under and between the modules. GOLDBECK SOLAR can look back on more than 23 years of photovoltaic expertise and is not only specialized in Agri-PV. The solution providers also support landowners who do not want to or cannot combine their solar energy generation with agricultural use. With a variety of modern solar systems, innovative photovoltaic technologies and competent services, the solar experts find individual ways to practical and economical solutions.
