GOLDBECK SOLAR Strengthens Its Expertise in PV Facades and Solar Carports Through the Acquisition of Key Operations from Koco Energy
Hirschberg a.d. Bergstraße, August 27, 2026 – GOLDBECK SOLAR continues its growth trajectory and is acquiring the key operations of the Bavarian company Koco Energy. With this move, the company is strategically expanding its expertise in the areas of PV facades and solar carports while simultaneously strengthening its presence in southern Germany.
By acquiring select key activities and expertise from Koco Energy, GOLDBECK SOLAR is strategically strengthening its capabilities in the area of integrated energy solutions. About ten employees are transferring to GOLDBECK SOLAR and will be based at the new location in Rimsting on Lake Chiemsee. Business operations will not continue under the name Koco Energy.
The integration of these capabilities and the experienced team supports the strategic development of GOLDBECK SOLAR as a provider of integrated energy solutions. Particularly in the future-oriented segments of PV facades and solar carports, additional opportunities are emerging to use photovoltaics in even more versatile ways and to harness new areas for the generation of renewable energy. In addition to rooftop and ground-mounted systems, building-integrated photovoltaic solutions and the use of parking areas for electricity generation are becoming increasingly important.
