The Zwartowo solar park is a 204 MWp ground-mounted plant and is one of the largest PV projects in Poland. The plant meets all technical requirements for operation in the transmission grid and received the Final Operational Notification (FON) in September 2025. As EPC, GOLDBECK SOLAR was responsible for the implementation of the project – including engineering, construction, grid compliance tests and final handover to the grid operator.
Zwartowo solar park
Initial situation & objectives
The aim was the grid-compliant commissioning of one of the largest PV systems in Poland. All system, protection and control parameters had to be coordinated to ensure stability, security of supply and system efficiency in the transmission grid.
Location & network
The Zwartowo PV farm was classified as a type D generation unit (output and grid level). The certification process involved several months of field tests in coordination with the transmission system operator. Operating and borderline cases were simulated and measurement campaigns were documented in order to demonstrate compliance with the relevant parameters for primary/secondary reactions, voltage quality, protection concepts and controllability.
Technical implementation & EPC services
GOLDBECK SOLAR was responsible for the end-to-end EPC scope and grid compliance coordination with all stakeholders – from the engineering phase and structural implementation to grid testing, parameterization and reporting.
Result & added value
With the FON decision, the system is fully operational in the transmission grid. Zwartowo is one of the largest PV projects in Poland and sets a benchmark for technical conformity and operational reliability in the large-scale sector.
Benefits at a glance:
- Assured grid conformity according to NC RfG (highest technical standards)
- Plannable feed-in and system stability in the transmission grid
- Scalable reference for further major projects in CEE with high regulatory complexity
- Strengthening energy independence through reliable, large-volume PV generation
