The plant in the municipality of Veendam turns a contaminated area that is no longer suitable for agricultural use into a source of green energy. It was opened in March 2018 as one of the first ground-mounted systems in the Netherlands and is a true visual monument next to the canal. It shows how a previously unused area can be put back to good use and visually enhanced by a PV system.
