Reduce costs, protect the environment: Advantages of PV systems for companies

01

Companies can cover a large part of their electricity requirements through in-house production and thus reduce energy costs in the long term.

02

Companies can achieve a self-sufficiency rate of over 50% with a commercial solar system – with an energy storage system, the self-sufficiency rate even rises to more than 80%.

03

Surplus electricity can also be fed into the public grid and remunerated. This creates independence from fluctuations in electricity prices – particularly valuable for energy-intensive companies.

04

In addition, solar energy improves the carbon footprint and strengthens ESG reporting and the corporate image. Government funding programs and subsidies reduce investment costs and shorten the payback period.

We offer four attractive business and operator models for solar systems:

Roof lease
Solardach NorCeram

With a roof lease, you provide unused roof space on which a solar company installs and operates a photovoltaic system. You benefit from a regular lease payment and contribute to the energy transition – without any investment or maintenance costs.

Sale-and-lease-back
Solardach Klingele in Werne

With sale-and-lease-back, you acquire a turnkey solar system and lease it back to us. You remain the asset manager, while we take over the operation and sale of electricity as the general contractor. This model prevents tax contamination and creates long-term stability. You free up capital immediately and continue to benefit from your solar energy – an ideal solution for creating liquidity.

Tenant electricity

Shared building supply or tenant electricity brings economic, ecological and social benefits for tenants and landlords. Tenants benefit from low-cost green electricity, while building owners increase the attractiveness and value of the property. In addition, the offer of an affordable energy supply strengthens tenant loyalty through additional benefits and attractive conditions.

On-/Off-site PPAs

Onsite PPAs (Power Purchase Agreement) are ideal for tenants or building owners who want to purchase electricity directly on site without investment costs, while off-site PPAs offer more flexibility and scalability and are also suitable for companies that do not have space for a PV system. Both models help to lower energy costs, reduce CO2 emissions and achieve sustainability goals.

Store energy, reduce costs

We are also your reliable partner for the installation of a solar system with an energy storage system. An energy storage system not only increases efficiency and security of supply in the commercial sector, but also offers numerous advantages:

01

Cost reduction

You can store the cheaply generated energy from your photovoltaic system and use it in times of high electricity prices, thereby reducing energy costs.

02

Independence

A storage system increases self-sufficiency as your company is less reliant on electricity from the grid.

03

Peak load capping

Energy storage systems help to reduce peak loads by using stored energy when consumption is high.

04

Emergency power supply

In the event of power failures, an energy storage system serves as a backup and ensures a continuous energy supply, which is crucial for critical processes in companies.

05

Environmental friendliness

By storing renewable energy, companies help to reduce CO2 emissions and improve their sustainability balance.

Frequently asked questions about commercial solar roofs

An industrial or commercial solar roof offers considerable advantages: solar systems use roof space efficiently to generate electricity, reduce energy costs and enable additional income through feed-in tariffs. Solar roofs increase property value, help reduce CO2 emissions and offer independence from external energy suppliers. They are also low-maintenance and often benefit from subsidies and tax breaks.

We have been developing and building photovoltaic systems of the highest quality and reliability since 2001. Our customers benefit from our many years of experience and our technical and organizational expertise. Systems planned and implemented for sustainable use are characterized by reliable performance and efficiency. Through regular maintenance, real-time monitoring and the use of advanced analysis tools, GOLDBECK SOLAR ensures that your solar system works as planned over the long term and achieves high returns.

In principle, all industries with large roof areas should consider using them for photovoltaic systems or renting them out. Energy-intensive sectors such as the automotive industry, chemical and food processing, logistics centers as well as commercial and industrial parks benefit in particular. These industries can reduce their energy costs and improve their carbon footprint. Retail chains and warehouses also often have large areas that are well suited to solar energy.

A commercial roof must meet a number of technical and structural requirements in order to be suitable for a photovoltaic system. These include the statics, as the roof must be able to bear the additional load of the PV system, including the modules, mounting systems and possible snow loads. In addition, a sufficiently large, contiguous and unshaded area is necessary to make the installation economically viable. The roof should be in good structural condition in order to be able to withstand the entire service life of the system (25-30 years) without major repairs.

The payback period of an industrial PV system depends on various factors, including the investment costs, the feed-in tariff and the savings on your own electricity costs. As a rule, the amortization period is between six and ten years – depending on the general conditions. After that, the system generates free energy for many years. The return on the capital invested can be in the double-digit percentage range if the framework conditions and concept are optimal.

GOLDBECK SOLAR offers comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for solar installations. This service includes regular inspections, precise fault diagnosis, fast repairs and detailed performance analysis. The aim is to maximize the service life and efficiency of your system and ensure that it always functions optimally. GOLDBECK SOLAR thus guarantees reliable performance of your solar system and minimizes downtimes, while also ensuring a long service life for the system.

Solar power can be stored in battery storage systems that provide energy on demand. These storage solutions can be used at both industrial and private level. In addition, surplus solar power can be fed into the public grid or used to produce green hydrogen, which serves as long-term storage.
