Our profile – Efficient project structures for global success
With a current project pipeline of 3 GW and the goal of building a portfolio of 10 GWp by 2030, we are actively contributing to the global expansion of renewable energies. GOLDBECK SOLAR Investment is divided into four specialized divisions: Project Development, Advanced Energy, Finance & Investment and Asset Management.
Project development
Project development forms the foundation of our business activities. We develop photovoltaic projects and structure them. Our projects go through a clearly defined stage-gate process that covers all the important steps from the identification of suitable sites to approval. We have long-term partnerships with project developers in which we work together to bring projects to construction maturity
Finance & Investment
The Finance & Investment team structures project financing and carries out M&A transactions. In the M&A area, we focus on the sale of projects ready for construction and projects in operation as well as the acquisition of projects and project pipelines in the development stage. We rely on long-term partnerships with experienced banks and institutional investors. We are also happy to give partners the opportunity to join us in the development phase of projects in our markets and to jointly develop and market the projects.
Asset Management
The asset management team manages PV systems and ensures their economic and technical optimization. This includes stakeholder management, the administration of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and the monitoring of operating partners. We currently manage 400 MWp consisting of a combination of our own and partner solar plants. Our aim is to continuously maximize the performance of the plants and ensure a long-term increase in value.
Advanced Energy (PPA)
The Advanced Energy department focuses on selling the electricity generated via power purchase agreements(PPAs). We secure the long-term profitability of our projects through bilateral agreements with utilities or large electricity consumers. PPAs vary between 5 and 15 years and provide a stable basis for the economic success of solar installations.
