GOLDBECK SOLAR enters the Mexican bay with the “Autodromo” project in San Luis Potosi

With an investment of approximately 700 thousand euros, GOLDBECK SOLAR has completed the construction of a solar plant with trackers and bifacial panels in the state of San Luis Potosi. Projects such as “Autodromo” in open fields near industrial companies represent the new concept that the German company is bringing to the market for Mexican industry.

The Autodromo project was built with top quality and state-of-the-art technology. The plant has an installed capacity of 554 kWp and generates 1,358 MWh/year thanks to its generation capacity of 2,450 kWh/kWp/year. Autodromo is located in the municipality of Villa de Zaragoza in the state of San Luis Potosi in Mexico on three hectares of agricultural land. This region is particularly favorable for this type of energy infrastructure, as it has an excellent climate for the installation of solar panels with high solar radiation.

Autodromo fills important market niche

Construction took two months and included a half-kilometer transmission line built specifically for the project. Autodromo was financed by the GOLDBECK-SOLAR Group in cooperation with the project developer Notus. The Mexican region of Bajio represents an important market niche for the company. The reasons for this are the climatic conditions, the favorable geographical location in the center of the country, the industrial potential and the constant growth. Companies from Mexico’s most dynamic sectors, such as the automotive and aerospace industries, are based there.

Another project in Querétaro

Autodromo will therefore not be the only project in the region. GOLDBECK SOLAR is keen to continue its involvement in this area. The next project for a modern German industry has started this week in the state of Querétaro, where, as in other entities in the region, investment potential has been identified. In this sense, the relationship and commitment with the client is fundamental. The energy generated by the project is available to the spot market and the private sector. Interested parties who also want to invest in renewable energies can contact GOLDBECK SOLAR in Mexico. For the customer, cooperation with GOLDBECK SOLAR means investing in projects with an agile and efficient process. GOLDBECK SOLAR is responsible for project planning. The German company takes care of all the necessary processes and arrangements such as land use, permits, power lines, transformers, meters, interconnections, import, construction and financing.
