In addition to the Staadskanaal project (announced in May), GOLDBECK SOLAR is starting another construction site in Buinerveen as general contractor for Chint Solar. The company EPC from Hirschberg in Germany is responsible for the construction of the plant.
GOLDBECK SOLAR is planning to build a solar park with an installed capacity of 45 MWp on a 40-hectare site near Buinerveen in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Following the ground-breaking ceremony, the plant is due to be connected to the grid in October after a six-month construction period.
“This is not the first project that we have carried out as general contractor for Chint Solar in the Netherlands. We are therefore familiar with the processes and know what to look out for. We are therefore confident that the Buinerveen solar park will be completed and connected to the Tennet grid on schedule,” summarizes Managing Director Tobias Schüssler.
As usual, the experienced EPC company relies on Astronergy modules to generate energy from the sun. Greencells for the construction and Chint Solar as the company responsible for connecting the park to the Stadskanaal substation are the cooperation partners for this project. This requires the coordination of numerous project steps, for which GOLDBECK SOLAR believes it is well prepared thanks to its previous projects.
Together with the Staadskanaal solar park, which is also being built by GOLDBECK SOLAR this year, Buinerveen has a total capacity of 146 MWp. This makes it the largest project in the BeNeLux countries with a direct connection to TenneT’s Tennet high-voltage grid.
After construction and commissioning, the two solar plants will supply a good 50,000 households with green electricity from the end of the year. This will result in an annual saving of 60,000 tons of CO2.
