TORONTO, CANADA – GOLDBECK SOLAR, a leading provider of large-scale solar energy solutions, is pleased to partner with NEOEN, a global leader in renewable energy, to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Fox Coulée solar park in Starland County, Alberta. This momentous event not only marks NEOEN’s first solar park in Canada, but also represents GOLDBECK SOLAR’s largest project in North America to date.
The Fox Coulée project, with an impressive 93 megawatt peak (MWp) capacity, fits perfectly with GOLDBECK SOLAR’s goals. It will make a significant contribution to the ambitious goal of the Province of Alberta and the federal government to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. The Fox Coulée solar park will generate enough electricity to power more than 20,000 homes, making a significant impact on the local community’s energy needs. In addition, the operation of the park will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of around 70,000 tons per year, underlining the commitment to environmental sustainability. The construction of the Fox Coulée solar park is a testament to the successful collaboration between GOLDBECK SOLAR and NEOEN, who share a common vision and values. “NEOEN’s trust and confidence in our capabilities has been instrumental in making this project a success.
