GOLDBECK SOLAR and Münch Energie build 60 MWp solar park in Gornau

GOLDBECK SOLAR, a leading specialist for the turnkey construction of photovoltaic systems in the industrial and large-scale sector, is pleased to celebrate the ground-breaking ceremony for the Gornau solar park in Saxony together with Münch Energie. With a capacity of 60 MWp, this solar park represents a significant step towards a sustainable energy supply.

The Gornau solar park covers an area of 40 hectares and will generate around 65,000 MWh of clean electricity per year, which is enough to supply around 18,500 households. The plant will also save around 17,875 tons of CO₂ per year, making a significant contribution to climate protection. Equipped with 85,900 solar modules and 168 inverters, the solar park will use state-of-the-art technology to ensure maximum efficiency and sustainability. The project, which represents a renewed collaboration with Münch Energie, is another milestone for both companies in their joint commitment to the energy transition.

Start of construction in Gornau: A milestone for the energy transition

“The Gornau solar park is an impressive example of how we are driving forward the expansion of renewable energies through partnerships such as the one with Münch Energie,” explains Tobias Schüßler, COO of GOLDBECK SOLAR. “The plant will not only save almost 18,000 tons of CO₂ per year, but will also significantly strengthen the local and regional energy supply. We are thus taking another decisive step towards a climate-friendly future.” Once completed, the Gornau solar park will make an important contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and to a sustainable energy supply in the region. The use of state-of-the-art technology and extensive experience in project management will ensure that construction proceeds efficiently and on schedule.
