Agethorst solar park: GOLDBECK SOLAR and greentech combine expertise for a power plant of the latest generation

Agethorst, Schleswig-Holstein. GOLDBECK SOLAR is responsible for the planning, procurement and construction of the Agethorst solar park in Schleswig-Holstein for greentech.

The ground-breaking ceremony for this project marks a milestone in the cooperation between the two companies. For greentech, Agethorst is the largest project to date that the company has developed itself and is now realizing. Together with two other plants on the A23, greentech is implementing an impressive portfolio of around 100 MWp of solar plants to generate sustainable green electricity.

One of the largest solar parks in Schleswig-Holstein

The Agethorst project alone will have an installed capacity of 70.6 MWp on an area of 80 hectares, which will feed clean electricity into the grid of Schleswig-Holstein Netz AG via an almost 6 km long route. The energy will be able to supply more than 18,000 households and save around 30,000 tonsof CO2 per year. “We are delighted to have gained one of Germany’s leading EPC companies as a trustworthy and experienced partner for the realization of our largest self-developed project to date,” says Oliver Herzog, Managing Partner at greentech.

Completion planned for mid-2024

Agethorst is a challenging large-scale project with a fast pace. A total of 16 transformer stations and 123,000 solar modules with the latest TOPCon technology must be installed over the next eight months in order to commission the plant as quickly as possible and hand it over to greentech management.
