GOLDBECK SOLAR enables employees to invest in the company’s own solar roof project

With the photovoltaic roof system in Polch (Rhineland-Palatinate), GOLDBECK SOLAR is giving its employees the opportunity to participate directly in the company’s own solar project. The project with an output of 1,890 kWp not only makes a valuable contribution to the energy transition, but also creates financial added value for the workforce.

Active participation in the energy transition

We give them the opportunity to benefit from the economic added value of their own project and to play an active role in the green transformation,” explains Joachim Goldbeck, CEO of GOLDBECK SOLAR.

High-performance solar system with attractive remuneration

The solar roof system in Polch produces around 1,850 MWh of electricity per year and achieves a specific yield of 979 kWh per installed kWp. Over a period of 20 years, the electricity generated is remunerated with an attractive feed-in tariff of 10.97 ct/kWh. Commissioning took place in March 2025.

Innovative financing through crowdinvesting

The exclusive investment opportunity for GOLDBECK SOLAR employees was made possible by EUR 550,000 in crowdfunding from Volksbank Kurpfalz. Employees can participate directly in the project financially via the crowdinvesting platform VR-Crowd. The financing is supplemented by a bank loan of EUR 1.1 million from VR Bank Würzburg.

“With this initiative, we are sending a strong signal for the future. We are convinced that sustainable investment opportunities not only strengthen the environment, but also employee loyalty. Our employees at GOLDBECK SOLAR can now also benefit directly from the results of a joint green solar project,” says Boris Beltermann, Managing Director of GOLDBECK SOLAR Investment.

The project in Polch is part of GOLDBECK SOLAR’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, which is specifically geared towards ESG criteria. Further projects are already being planned in order to create long-term participation opportunities for employees.
