Bavelse Berg: GOLDBECK SOLAR can also be ambitious

Hirschberg-based EPC company builds another solar park in the Netherlands

On behalf of Rooftop Energy, Goldbeck Solar is building another solar park with Bavelse Berg in the Netherlands, east of Breda.

Bavelse Berg: First project for Rooftop Energy

For GOLDBECK SOLAR, Bavelse Berg is the first project commissioned by Rooftop Energy – and a very ambitious one at that. The solar park is being built on a former landfill site on Bavelse Berg, which offers only limited access. “With an installed capacity of 37 MWp, the Bavelse Berg solar park near the municipality of Breda in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant will supply around 13,000 households with green electricity and thus save 15,000 tons of CO2 per year,” explains Tobias Friedrich, Head of Solar Netherlands.

“GOLDBECK SOLAR is installing around 94,000 solar modules from Jinko Bifacial and decentralized inverters from Huawei,” Friedrich continues. GOLDBECK SOLAR is already using bifacial solar modules in other projects and is gaining experience with them. “Even if the ground conditions present us with some challenges in advance, we are confident that we will be able to complete the project within the planned time frame.” Bavelse Berg is one of the most complex projects in Goldbeck Solar’s history. The solar park is expected to be completed and connected to the grid in spring 2021.

GOLDBECK SOLAR relies on experience

With the Bavelse solar park, GOLDBECK SOLAR has taken on another project in the Netherlands. The Hirschberg-based EPC company can thus draw on its experience from past projects to successfully implement the solar park near Breda and provide employers and stakeholders with a key project in the region.
