GOLDBECK SOLAR realizes five systems for Blue Elephant Energy

New solar parks in the Netherlands expand Blue Elephant Energy Hamburg’s portfolio and provide green energy for almost 35,000 households

GOLDBECK SOLAR has realized five solar parks for Blue Elephant Energy in 2022 and achieved acceptance (PAC) for all projects in December. The Hamburg-based investor has thus expanded its renewable energy portfolio in the Netherlands by a further 103 MWp.

Five new solar parks in the portfolio for the Netherlands

The Netherlands remains a core market for Blue Elephant. GOLDBECK SOLAR has installed a total of five new plants for the Hamburg-based company in various Dutch provinces. The 103 MWp total output is divided between the projects Lelystad with 56 MWp, Haarweg with 6.7 MWp, and Alteveer with approx. 9.5 MWp. In addition, the Medel and Zunnefeld projects have been realized, which will have an output of 16.7 and 14 MWp respectively once completed. The five new solar parks are thus making a sustainable contribution to the green energy supply in the Netherlands.

“Once again, we were able to rely on the experience of GOLDBECK SOLAR in the realization of the projects, who took on the various challenges in the projects even under difficult conditions and have now brought the projects to a good end. We are pleased to have made a further contribution to the energy transition in the Netherlands with the portfolio we have built,” explains BEE CIO Tim Kallas. “We are planning further investments in the coming years.”

Completion and connection to the power grid

“There were different challenges in all of the projects due to the weather and soil conditions,” explains Maurizio Luvera, Processing Manager at GOLDBECK SOLAR. “However, all systems have now been completed and are connected to the grid.”
