GOLDBECK SOLAR builds 55 MWp solar plants in the Netherlands

The construction of four photovoltaic systems on behalf of Chint Solar begins in parallel.

A long-standing cooperation reaches new heights and is further strengthened. GOLDBECK SOLAR and Chint are jointly building four solar power plants in the Netherlands. As general contractor for Chint Solar, the Hirschberg-based EPC company is responsible for the turnkey construction of the Exkloermond, Vleddermond, Buinerhorn and Drouwenerzon projects. A total of 55 MWp of solar power will be generated for the Drenthe and Groningen regions.

“We are familiar with the processes and know the high requirements of our customer. Even under the current conditions, we are convinced that we will complete the solar parks to the required quality,” says Tobias Friedrich, Managing Director of Solar Netherlands, describing the cooperation.

55 MWp for Drenthe and Groningen

Following the ground-breaking ceremony in March, construction of the plants in Vleddermond, Buinerhorn and Drouwenerzon in the north of the Netherlands began in parallel in April. The substructures of the last project, Exkloermond, with around 20 MWp, were already completed in 2021. However, it is assumed that they will all be completed and connected to the grid at around the same time. With a total output of 55 MWp, the PV systems will supply around 16,000 households in the Drenthe and Groningen regions with green energy in the future. This will save around 29,000 tons of CO2 per year in the north of the Netherlands.
