Solar park honored as flagship project of the state of NRW
Last October, the Enni solar park in Moers-Vinn was officially inaugurated. Now the EnergyAgency.NRW has added the “solar park in the middle of the city” to its reference list of regenerative showcase projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The solar park built by Goldbeck Solar impressively demonstrates how harmoniously nature and citizens can coexist.
NRW is actively pursuing the energy transition
For some time now, the focus in Germany has been on renewable and therefore environmentally friendly energies. North Rhine-Westphalia is one of the federal states that is actively and consistently pursuing the transition to the new energy age. This ultimately led to the decision to build a solar park in Moers-Vinn. The contract for the project was awarded to the experienced EPC company Goldbeck Solar, which got straight down to planning the solar park. The photovoltaic system went into operation in August 2019 and was officially inaugurated in October 2019. The approximately 10,000 Astronergy modules with a total output of 3.8 MWp can now supply around 1,000 single-family homes in NRW with clean electricity and thus reduce annual CO2 emissions by 1,798 tons.
Solar park in the middle of the city
The special feature of the Enni solar park in Moers-Vinn in NRW is not only its positive impact on the environment, but also its location. This is because the plant is located right next to the town center. This means that the energy transition can be experienced by many people every day. At the same time, the project shows that a harmonious coexistence of nature and citizens is very well possible. It was therefore only a matter of time for the photovoltaic park built by Goldbeck Solar to be included in the list of regenerative showcase projects as part of KlimaExpo.NRW. This is because the project’s proximity to the city center clearly sets it apart from other solar parks. With the Enni solar park, Goldbeck Solar has proven that its team of experts are also the right partners for the planning and construction of photovoltaic systems for special projects.
