Ecologically enhanced photovoltaic systems
A solar power plant is an essential part of clean energy production and CO 2 reduction. It makes an important contribution to environmental protection and the energy transition. But we want to do more for our planet . That’s why we and our partners at Rifcon are committed to ecologically upgrading the facility. With Ecovoltaics, the solar system also promotes biodiversity. Photovoltaics will become a biotopic link in the local ecosystem. Implement some simple but intelligent measures, efficiently increase the level of environmental protection. Here you can find out which improvements for solar farms protect endangered species, support the development of local species and thus help stabilize the ecosystem.
Ecovoltaics, the method for ecologically upgrading a photovoltaic system, was developed in collaboration with our partner Rifcon . Rifcon specializes in the global protection of biological diversity. The measures taken to improve biodiversity are scientifically monitored and their impact is measured.
The best time to start the environmental impact assessment is as part of the site selection for the construction of the solar system. According to the building regulations for solar power plants in Germany, compensatory measures must be established as soon as a natural area is affected. Such measures can e.g. B. planting hedges or creating new habitats.
The early location analysis creates the best conditions for the success of the ecovoltaics measures. However, it is also possible to increase the quality of biological diversity and environmental protection in systems that have already been built.
A solar power plant produces clean energy, reduces CO 2 emissions and represents a path to independent energy production. In addition, a photovoltaic system optimized for biodiversity is an important biotopic link in the local ecosystem.
